​​Hair by Tommy J started with a simple idea …...

Build a barbershop that didn’t feel like every other barbershop.

A place with good music, good people, plenty of laughs and bloody good haircuts.

Somewhere you could walk in wearing a suit or covered in tattoos, still half asleep after a night shift or after chasing your kids around all day, and feel just as welcome.

Over the years we’ve built more than a client list. We’ve built a community. Some of you have been with us since day one, some found us along the way, and a lot of you have become mates we’d happily have a beer with.

Then life threw us a curveball.

After 17 amazing years in Redfern, our time there came to an end. It wasn’t how we’d planned the story to go, but sometimes the best chapters aren’t the ones you choose. 
So instead of giving up, we are building something even better.

Same people. Same values ...... Just a new home.

We care about quality work, making people feel comfortable and creating a shop where everyone can be themselves. Simple as that.

​We’re here for the conversations, the terrible jokes, the life updates, the breakups, the promotions, the weddings, the “my missus made me cut it short” moments and everything in between.

Absolutely  we’ll send you out looking sharp.
